Living with a disability is hard and difficult, it was never an easy life for me and my family. However, since I joined HSH, I have been well looked after by their lovely staff members. I am treated like an individual person; my care plan is personalized and designed by HSH and myself through meetings. All my care needs are met by the team, and my quality of life improved significantly. They are able to provide me with a carer who speaks my language which makes everything so much easier. The staff are so professional and friendly. I cannot forget the night that the staff noticed I had signs of a stroke. The staff chose to stay with me without hesitation. They organised hospital transfers and everything for me. They saved my life! I am so lucky to have them as my carer, friend and like family member.
The staff members are professional and they know their boundaries. They know how to make me laugh and that just enlightens my day. We travel to different places to enjoy the views, have brunches, enjoy the coffee, and assist me to live the life I deserved just like everyone else. I am now the happy man that I used to be. Nevertheless, the team always seek feedback proactively, they never stop improving even when I feel I am already satisfied with my care needs. My care plan is reviewed regularly with me. Staff always provide recommendations, advice and explanation to me, so I can decide how to use my NDIS subsidy wisely for a long-term plan according to my needs. Thanks to their help, now I am able to plan an overseas trip and I feel so excited.
